Spring Cards with the Bold Daisy Stencil

Hello! Today I'm sharing a pair of cards that I made with two of my favorite things - spring colors and a beautiful floral stencil. Have you seen the new hero_product_link sku="SA068" text="Bold Daisy Stencil"] yet? I've used it with two, beautiful trios of ink colors, to create bold and colorful backgrounds for each of my springtime designs. I hope that you love this tried-and-true technique.

To create my cards, I started by trimming two pieces of hero_product_link sku="PS610" text="white layering paper"] slightly smaller than my card fronts. Then, I cut each panel, into three, equal width strips. I used these two color palettes to ink each of the strips with a section of the hero_product_link sku="SA068" text="Bold Daisy Stencil"].

For my first card, I embellished the stenciled background with a vellum circle, a seam binding bow, and an embossed, celebrate sentiment from the hero_product_link sku="DC177" text="Celebrate Tag Stamp & Cut by Lia"] set. I love having a few celebration cards on hand as they are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and congratulation wishes. I added an embossed swan from hero_product_link sku="CL942" text="Origami Animals"] that I die-cut with hero_product_link sku="DI175" text="Animals Frame Cuts"].

For my second card, I created a few label sentiments using a stamp and die-cut from hero_product_link sku="DC180" text="Kelly's Labels Stamp & Cut"] set. I stamped a small sentiment from hero_product_link sku="CL954" text="Many Everyday Messages"] inside each tiny label. But perhaps my favorite stamp on this card, is the adorable bird from hero_product_link sku="CL934" text="Kelly's Girl Talk Planner"] set.

I used a few colored pencils to quickly add a touch of color to the bird. Then, I added all of the elements to the card front with some vellum and another seam binding bow. For a finishing touch, I added a few sparkly gems to each card. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful and crafty week!
