Saturdays with Sally: Make a Wish!

It’s always time for someone’s birthday, so I try to have a few cards on hand at all times. Yay! Birthday is a great stamp set to use for building your birthday stash. And the Yay! Birthday Bundle has the coordinating dies, so that is even BETTER!

These ideas are ultra simple and all use that ONE STAMP SET and six inks. The ink colors are Dandelion, Butter Bar, Tangerine, Ultra Pink, Orchid, and Aegean. I chose a coordinating cardstock palette – Ultra Pink, Papaya, Amethyst, Mustard, Paradise, Dove White, and also Holiday Sparkle Glitter Paper. Enamel Dots rounded out my supplies - Sunset, Aquas, and Purples.

All of these cards are ultra easy and fast. For the first one I inked up "BIRTHDAY" three times in Ultra Pink, Dandelion and Aegean, and stamped them to “make a cake” on Dove White cardstock. Ink the candles and stamp them on top. Add enamel dots. Mount onto Paradise cardstock.

For the next card with matching envelope, stamp the confetti stamp in Butter Bar around the white card edges. Stamp candles and die cut. Stamp "Birthday Wish" in Butter Bar and Orchid and die cut. Die cut one candle in gold glitter paper. Add enamel dots. Mount with foam tape. Decorate an envelope to match by using the confetti stamp around the edges and back flap. (I LOVE making matching envelopes – and adding a birthday-themed stamp adds to the fun!)

HOORAY for the next card that takes two minutes. Stamp the confetti star in every color randomly on white card stock. Stamp and die cut three "HOORAY!" messages on Ultra Pink, Mustard and Papaya cardstocks. Mount with foam tape.

Make a wish is made with five die cut candles, and the flames cut from gold glitter paper. Stamp "make a" in Orchid and "wish" in Aegean and die cut. Glue sparkle flames and mount WISH with foam tape.

Now that I've shared all of this birthday card inspiration, it's a great time to remind you that we have the PERFECT challenge underway for uploading all of your own birthday creations! The theme of our Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge this month is "They Say It's Your Birthday" – so fun! So get those birthday cards you create uploaded onto the challenge page!

YAY! You have 4 new ideas for your next round of birthdays!! Now, make a wish!!
