July My Monthly Hero Countdown Idea #1 + Giveaway!

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the July My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, July 2nd at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We will be here for the next three days, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as the new optional add-on products that will also be available on Monday. Stay tuned for more inspiration all weekend long! Now let's join Ilina for a first look at this fun County Fair inspired kit!

Hi everyone, this is Ilina sharing a card using the July My Monthly Hero kit. This is such a fun kit with tons of fun County Fair inspired images! I had hard time deciding which images and sentiment I wanted to use. It's for sure another kit you wouldn't want to miss.

To make the card, start by stamping the County Fair Bold Prints onto 4" x 2" piece of Black Layering paper with Versamark and embossing it with Ultra Fine embossing powder. Set it aside. Next, using 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Snow Layering Paper make your ink blended background using Butter Bar, Soft Yellow, Soft Pool and Tide Pool inks.

Once the background is dry, position the skyline stamp just slightly above 2" from the bottom. This way it'll create a thin yellow border between the black embossed piece and the image. Using the MISTI stamp it with Intense black ink. Stamp the sentiment, fire works and hot air balloon.

Next adhere the black panel to the bottom and then using dimensional foam tape (or just plain fun foam) adhere to black folded note card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you are inspired and don't forget to stop by later today for another peek of the new kit!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post!  We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all the countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, June 4th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern time. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
