Joy To You And Yours Greenery Medallion

Hello, crafty friends! It's Seeka and today I have a card featuring a dressed up Greenery Medallion die cut wreath. I love how beautiful this detailed wreath is!

I began by die cutting the wreath from Dove White cardstock. Using a light teal-colored Copic marker, I quickly colored in the greenery, leaving the berries and the inner and outer frames white. Next, I added a bit of shading with a darker teal marker and used the lighter marker to loosely blend the two colors together.  Using translucent pale pink and light red jewel drops, I covered the berries and then set the wreath aside for several hours until the drops hardened.

Next, I trimmed a piece of Peony cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" and used a blending brush to blend Cotton Candy Mid-Tone Shadow Ink onto the panel, focusing on the top and bottom edges and concentrating the color at each of the four corners. I added some splatters of white gouache and when the splatters were dry, I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.25".

For the sentiment, I die cut the Joy Ornament from the same white cardstock and then cut away the ornament to leave just the word "joy." The smaller sentiment, from the Color Layering Poinsettia stamp set, is stamped in Intens-ified Black ink onto a strip of white cardstock.

To assemble the card, I applied a bit of Precision Glue to the back of the wreath's inner frame and some of the inner leaves, and then adhered it to the pink panel.  I love how selectively applying the glue allows the outer frame to stand up and away from the background for a bit of dimension.  Next, I adhered the two sentiments with foam tape and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card white card base.

Thank you so much for coming by!
