January My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway!

We are back with another look at the January My Monthly Hero release! The kit will be available on Monday, January 8th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and the optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more inspiration! Now let’s join Ilina, who is sharing another look at the main kit, available on Monday.

I hope you are enjoying the Countdown to Creativity posts. We are up to idea #4. For my project today I decided to pair up the main kit with the Color Layering Rose, which is one of the add-on stamp sets this month.

Don't you love the large LOVE sentiment? I started by stamping the first layer it using Bubble Gum ink. I stamped the second layer with Versamark and embossed with Gold embossing powder, then did the same for the little "you" sentiment. Using the Oval Infinity Dies I die cut  the sentiment.

Next, I moved onto stamping the roses and leaves. The first layer of the roses was stamped using Bubble Gum ink, then the second layer using Rose Madder Bold Ink, for the third layer I used Versamark ink and, again, embossed with Gold Embossing powder. For the leaves I used Fresh Lawn ink, and Versamark and Gold embossing powder. Cut the roses and leaves. There are coordinating Frame Cuts that will be available, however I wanted minimal white border around my roses and leaves.

The next step was to arrange everything together. I used some shimmer card stock as my panel on which I arranged the sentiment and roses, and added some Champagne sequin mix to add more interest.

At the end the whole panel was adhered onto Snow folded note card.

I hope you are inspired to create something and come back tomorrow for more inspiration using this month's My Monthly Hero kit.
