Video: Flower and Hearts Cover Plate

Hey everyone. It's Dana here with you today. We are going to make a fabulous card using the new Flower and Hearts Cover Plate . This new die makes it super easy to create beautiful cards.

If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch  HERE  on YouTube.

To create today's card, I used several colors of cardstock. The colors I used to die cut the Flower and Hearts Cover Plate are  Arctic , Canary , Peony and  Kiwi . These colors work so well together for this technique.

After the panel was die cut, I decided to use the Arctic panel for my card. To deepen up the color around the edges, I ink blended  Arctic  ink with a small blending brush just on the edges of the panel.

Next it was time to use some of the flowers that were die cut from the colorful pieces of cardstock. To add color to each flower, I trimmed off the tops of several of the flowers and glued them to the tips of the kiwi die cut pieces. (You can see this in action in the video). This way the stem of each flower was already green and the blooms were changed to either pink or yellow.  To finish the card, I adhered the Arctic cover plate to a Dove White Side Folded Card  with  Precision Glue . Now it was time to fill in the panel with the pretty flowers we created. By using a simple color palette, this card is really clean and simple.

For the sentiment I used a sentiment from the new  Valentine Wreath Bundle . I stamped the greeting in Intens-ified Black  ink  onto Dove White  cardstock. By die cutting this piece a few times and adhering them together, it gives my sentiment some weight.

I truly love how this card turned out. And I have leftover panels I can use to create more cards. Thanks so much for stopping by today. We will see you back here soon.
