February My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

Hello and welcome to the next countdown post for the release of the February My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is tomorrow, Monday, February 6 at 1pm EST/10am PST. We’re here all weekend sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as several other new optional add-on products that will be available on Monday.  And, don’t forget to comment on each and every post as we’ll be giving away a kit tomorrow morning before the kit launches!  Now let’s join Jessica who is sharing another look at the main kit and add-ons, available on Monday! We'll Weather This Together by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero ArtsGood morning!  Jess here with a simple card using lots of repeat stamping with stamps from the February My Monthly Hero kit as well as one of the optional add-on sets!  I started by stamping the umbrella onto post-it notes and then I fussy cut them to create masks.  I stamped and masked the umbrella repeatedly across the bottom of my card panel using Intense Black ink.  I stamped an additional umbrella on a piece of scrap cardstock.  Next I colored the umbrellas on the card panel with grey copic markers and used shades of coral and pink for the extra umbrella.  I put the masks back on top of the umbrellas and stamped the rain stamp once on a piece of scrap paper and then across the card panel which resulted in a lighter ink color.  The stamp overlaps in areas which creates an interesting dimension.

We'll Weather This Together by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero ArtsNext I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and trimmed it down to a fishtail banner.  I used foam mounting tape to adhere the sentiment to the top of the card and the coral umbrella over the grey umbrellas.  To finish the card I added a coating of wink of stella clear sparkle to the umbrella and added a thin layer of glossy accents.  So this card used just three stamps from the February My Monthly Hero kit and one of the optional add-ons…I can’t wait to show you the rest of the stamps AND dies from this collection!  They’re definite must-haves! ;)

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, February 6th, before the kit launches at 1pm EST. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day!
