Enjoy Your Staycation

Hello everyone! Mindy Eggen here with you today to share inspiration using the Camp Mi Casa stamp set. Have you been cooped up at home lately? Missing the adventures of traveling? Welcome to Camp Mi Casa

I remember when I was little building forts in the living room and pretending like it was my own private getaway. I've done this with my kids over the years and it's still fun to this day! My card today reminds me of those fun times. Today we will create that private getaway.

Using the MISTI stamping tool, I stamped most of the images from the Camp Mi Casa stamp set in Hero Arts Intensified Black ink onto Hero Hues Premium Dove White cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Then I used the Camp Mi Casa Frame Cuts to die cut them out.

On Hero Hues Premium Pebble cardstock, I used my scoreboard and a bone folder to add indents to the cardstock to resemble paneling and it added just a little bit of texture to my plain background. Now I got a little creative with the floor. I die cut the Wood Frame Infinity Die multiple times from Hero Hues Premium Chestnut cardstock and trimmed out the longer strips. Then I added them to the lower half of my card front to resemble a wood floor.

I love lights strung around ceilings so I die cut the Decorated Winter Branches Window Fancy Die from Hero Hues Premium Dove White cardstock and trimmed out just the lights using my scissors. I added color to my lights with Copic markers and glued the lights across the top of my card with the Precision Glue

Once my scene was set, I added all of my images to the card front using a tape runner but the tent I added with foam squares to give a little dimension.

I made sure to leave enough space for a sentiment that I stamped using Hero Arts Clear Embossing/Watermark Ink onto Hero Hues Premium Pitch Black cardstock and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder

I hope you enjoyed our little getaway today. Thanks for stopping by!
