Hello! Anna here sharing an easel card I created using the Rabbit Pair & Trellis Window Fancy Dies.
To create the background of my card, I took a 4.25" X 5.5" piece of light blue cardstock and ink-blended all sides with Summer Sky from the Sky Blues Core Ink Pad Cubes set. After ink-blending, I adhered it on top of a 4.25" X 5.5" top folding note card, then scored it across 2" from the bottom to create the easel mechanism. Then I set it aside to work on the elements of the card.
First, I die-cut the Trellis Window three times out of kraft cardstock. I adhered two of them together for added stability. Then, using the outline die of the Trellis, I die-cut one piece out of clear acetate. Next, I die-cut one set of the Rabbit Pair and several pieces of the carrot using heavy-weight white cardstock. For the additional design elements of the card, I used the Tri-fold Garden Birds Fancy Die. I used two of the three dies in the set and die cut them from a 4.25" X 5.5" panel of white heavy-weight cardstock. For the grass die in the set, I measured about 2.5" from the bottom of a cardstock and die-cut it out. For the die with the leaves and snowdrop flowers, I measured and die-cut it about 1" height from the bottom. Then I also cut a 4.25" X 2.5" piece of white cardstock which I will use for the inside of the card.
Now that I have all my die-cuts ready, I proceeded to ink-blend them. For the rabbits, I ink-blended them very lightly with Granite from the Neutrals Core Ink Cubes set and with a small, detailed blending tool, I ink-blended the inner part of their ears and their cheeks with Soft Blossom from the Petal Brights Core Ink Cubes set. I colored in their eyes with a black micron pen and added a dot highlight with a white gel pen. For the carrots, I used Tangerine from the same ink cube set.
For the grass I used a combination of Green Apple and Pine from the Fresh Greens Core Ink Cubes set, then for added contrast, I blended in some Bermuda from the Aquas Core Ink Cube set. I used the same colors for the leaves of the snowdrops but without the Bermuda ink. I also ink-blended a combination of Caramel from the Warm Browns Core Ink Cubes set and Espresso from the Cool Browns Core Ink Cubes. I also used the same combination of browns to ink-blend the 4.25" X 2.5" piece of cardstock. And for the snowdrop flowers, I used Lemon Yellow and Tangerine from the Petal Brights Core Ink Cubes set..
Before putting the card together, I added acetate to the back of the trellis die-cut, then added another trellis die cut to the back of the acetate. Next, I adhered the grass die-cut to the bottom part of the fold on the front of the card, then I added the Trellis. Before I added the leaves and snowdrop flowers die-cut, I added a strip of dimension at the bottom of the Trellis to even it out. Then I added the Rabbit Pair and a carrot at their feet.
On the inside of the card, I adhered the ink-blended 4.25" X 2.5" piece at the bottom, folded the easel up until the 2.5" mark, then added another carrot die-cut. To make this carrot a little thicker, I added additional die-cuts behind it so when the easel goes up, it can rest upright against it.
To finish off my card, I added a "Happy Easter" sentiment on the upper right of the trellis. The sentiment is from the Everyday Sentiment Strips Clear Stamp Set, white heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder on Pitch Black Cardstock.
