CommUNITY: Inspiration from Jeff Lindberg

Hi friends! Today we are here with an installment of our monthly series, CommUNITY, where we share artwork from artists who we'd love for you to get to know. CommUNITY is about embracing and honoring the creativity of individuals who are often underrepresented. By sharing art from a diverse group of creators, we hope to not only bring inspiration to this papercrafting community we all love so much, but also support and empower individuals to be their authentic selves as they create and share. Look for a new CommUNITY guest artist right here on the blog each month. Today our talented guest is Jeff Lindberg.

I am a creator from Orlando, Florida, best known for my popular CRAFT COCKTAILS and CRAFT HOUR with Pinkfresh Studios live shows on Instagram, and am driven to prove that #dudescrafttoo.

In 1994, I pursued my dream of working for The Walt Disney Company and now 29 years later, I am the Proprietor of the Disney Special Activities and VIP Tours. I lead a team of professionals who articulate the strategy behind specialized visits of dignitaries, corporate executives, celebrities and special Guests of Disney Parks.

As an experienced actor for over 22 years, I turned my sights to professional craft and card making in 2017 after mentorship of friends Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire. I have gone on to pursue my first design team opportunities and enjoyed my title of ’the best known, unknown.’ Growing my exposure, I would be a featured guest designer for Online Card Classes, Picket Fence Studio, Simon Hurley create and Reverse Confetti. As a brand ambassador for The Stamping Village, I have  working relationships with notable companies like Gina K Designs, Concord and 9th, and Hero Arts.

I share a life with my husband Dan, a middle school Piano/Choral instructor, and our amazing (and personality filled) rescue mutt, Hazel Harper! (Yep, two first names!)

For my project, I decided to create a ‘unity packet,’ and put them all ‘together!’

Inspired by the colors of the rainbow, these adorable 4x4 note card sets are perfect to present ‘together’ - a play on the Together Stamp & Cut set I used to decorate the holder. Filled with fun images and uplifting messages from the Be You stamp and die bundle, they fit snugly into red bound paper, perfect for any gift occasion.

I love that using an array of the rainbow with cardstock from any company (nothing like Hero Arts Premium Cardstock, though!) and SIMPLE coloring of the Be You birds… make for a clean and simple set that looks like you put in a lot of effort. You could combine messaging from the Empowerment stamp set to complete the inside of the 4x4 cards. Dimension makes everything go from ‘good to great,’ so take a moment to cut your 4x4 into borders… and lift for drop shadows using your favorite foam tape adhesives.

Jeff, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful card set and talent with us today! You can find more inspiration from Jeff on Instagram at @mrjefflindberg.
