Cards to “Fall” For

Hello and a happy Friday to you! Today we’re thrilled to welcome a very talented stamper from Germany to our blog as a guest artist. Say hello to Maria Peters! We are continually inspired by Maria’s cards on Instagram — if you’re on the ‘Gram, be sure to give her a follow! Now let’s get right to it and take a look at the Fall cards Maria has created…

Hello Crafty Friends! I’m so excited to be guesting on the Hero Arts Blog today. My first two stamps were Hero Arts stamps and now I’m here on their blog. That’s so crazy and absolutely amazing. I can’t describe how lucky I am. Thank you to the whole team!!!

For my first card I used one of my all-time favorite stamp sets, Holiday Petals and Leaves. You can use it not only for Fall or Christmas Cards. The blossoms and leaves can be used year round. That makes this set so wonderful and versatile.

Happy Fall by Maria Peters for Hero Arts

I stamped the blossoms and leaves all over on a piece of watercolor cardstock and colored them with Distress Inks. Then I diecut a circle and stamped the sentiment with Versamark, then heat embossed it with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder.

After this I mounted a lil bit of twine on the right side of the circle and mounted the watercolor cardstock on a white card base using dimensional foam tape. Then I added the circle with the sentiment into the hole using double sided tape. I embellished the card with some sequins.

My second card features Harry the hedgehog, Minnie the mouse and Frankie the fox playing in the garden. It’s a wonderful sunny day in Fall. The three friends are playing with some acorns and little Minnie finds a big red apple which she shares with her friends. They all are happy and enjoy this beautiful day!

Autumn Thanks by Maria Peters for Hero Arts

I combined three stamp sets — Playful Animals, Stamp Your Own Fruit, and Holiday Petals and Leaves. I diecut three similar watercolor cardstock pieces and stamped the images, partially using the masking stamping technique. Then I colored all images with Distress Inks. I added some twine and mounted all cardstock pieces on a white card base using dimensional foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping in with me today! Enjoy a wonderful Friday!

Maria, we adore your cards and thank you for sharing this wonderful Autumn inspiration!
