Hello stampers! It’s time for this month’s Awesome Add-ons feature. Before we check out the project inspiration, here’s a look at all of the add-on products introduced in conjunction with the August kit — 14 in total! They’ll take your creativity to out-of-this-world levels…

Today our Creative Team is going to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons. First up is Michelle with a beautiful way to use one of our new 4×6″ clear sets.
Michelle: I was really drawn to the Dream Big set. It is such a fun set that is really versatile but I think it is especially perfect for encouragement cards. You can do anything that you put your mind to, even reaching for the planets!
I first took the girl and stamped her on to a piece of white cardstock. I made a mask for her and then stamped the planet balloons so that she was holding them in her hand. I made a mask for these too. I wanted it to look like the girl was looking up at a galaxy so I masked off the bottom right portion of the panel and then set about creating my background. Using Copic Markers and an air brush I first added bright colours to the background in green, purple, yellow, blue and pink. I then went over these colours with a dark grey and black. I then took some white paint and splattered this over.
Once dry, I removed the masks from the panel and coloured the girl and planets using Copic Markers also. I took the ‘dream big’ sentiment and stamped this on to the piece using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and then heat set. The panel was added to a white A2 card base and then to finish off, I added shimmer pen to the planets, along with Nuvo glitter dots to Saturn.

I’m a huge fan of nautical designs so I knew that I wanted to ink up the ship and whale! I started with a panel from the Sea Mix Layering Papers pack. All the images were stamped on watercolor paper with Chalkboard Black ink. They’ve been watercolored with Zig Clean Color Markers. I used the Waves Stencil with Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I flicked water droplets on the waves and waited for the panel to completely dry. Once dry, I heat embossed some of the various stars in the Cloudy Animals set in gold.
Do you see the new Nesting Cloudy Infinity die? I used white craft foam from my stash. The sentiment has been heat embossed in gold on black cardstock. The ship and whale have been adhered with foam dimensionals.
