Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams here to share some fabulous "beyond the kit" ideas for a few of the add-ons.

Hey friends! Just me popping in to share a few of my favorite designs from the new My Monthly Hero launch for August using the add-on collections. I love that the wonderful Hero Arts Art Team navigated to one of things we all love about summer, and that is, vacation and travel! No better time of the year, whether it’s summer or any other season, than to relax and enjoy some rest and reflection. Both of my cards today actually feature multiple sets from this travel release.

This first card features Road Signs Bold Prints embossed in white on Pitch Black cardstock and the colorful, Luggage Fancy Dies, both of which are my favorite this month. I love seeing how the different designs can be combined to make unique cards. The possibilities are endless.

The second card involves our new On the Road Window Fancy Die, the Winding Road HeroScape and the Roadside Messages.

I actually intended this card as a trifold card and although this card does open that way, the fold at the top is pretty close to the cut line of the windshield so it might be a bit difficult to reproduce in the same way. I recommend die-cutting On the Road Window Fancy Die from Pitch Black cardstock, shading the faces lightly with white chalk then attaching it to the layered Winding Road HeroScape background. You could use foam dots to add dimension to the card or how about adding window plastic to the window area? And finally, another favorite in August’s release is the Roadside Message which completed my card. They are great stand alone sentiments, as well as a wonderful pairing with other stamp and die sets. I used Intense Black ink for the main image and colored it in with Copic markers then used the coordinating Frame Cuts. Ah, on the road again! I’m off to visit my family in Texas. Hoping you have plans to find some time to relax and maybe make some special cards.

So appreciate you stopping in!

XO,
