Autumn Leaves

Have you begun to feel that crisp, cool air in the morning where you live? The leaves will soon be changing color and it's time to start thinking Fall! Today Kelly and Sally are here to share some seasonal inspiration with two takes on our new hero_product_link sku="CL987" text="Color Layering Grateful Leaves"] set.

First up is Kelly with this Autumn beauty...

Grateful by Kelly Rasmussen for Hero Arts

Kelly: "I love fall and all the gorgeous colors that the season brings to the trees. So I decided to create a card using the  hero_product_link sku="CL987" text="Grateful Leaves"] stamp set that depicts all of those pretty colors. To create the variation of color on each leaf I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color directly on the stamp. I started with a lighter color and then used a darker color around the edges. Then I spritzed it with just a little water and stamped it onto watercolor paper. This set also includes the veins of the leaves that you can stamp separately on top. Once the leaves were completely dry I stamped the veins with hero_product_link sku="VC250" text="VersaMark"] ink and embossed them with either hero_product_link sku="PW115" text="Brass"] or hero_product_link sku="PW116" text="Copper"] embossing powder. To finish off the card I heat embossed the sentiment with Brass embossing powder and added a scattering of sequins. These colors make me so happy and I'm ready for that cool crisp fall air to arrive!"

And next is Sally with this gorgeous single-layer Thanksgiving card...

Grateful Leaves by Sally Traidman for Hero Arts

Sally: "When I saw this new leaf set, I knew I wanted to max it out and use as many of the stamps as I could. My mind thinks 'naturally' so I dug out fall colors rather than pinks and purples! I inked up the messages first (in black) and stamped them in three spots. I scattered the leaves around them, filling the white space. We have so many pretty ink colors, it was easy to find colors that worked together."

There are so many ways to use this set -- dare we say it's unbeLEAFably versatile! :) Check out how Libby used it here along with soothing green tones. Simply gorgeous with the gold, isn't it? Coordinating Frame Cut dies are available hero_product_link sku="DI315" text="here"].

Thanks for stopping by for a visit. Have a wonderful weekend!
