August My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

Welcome back for our final day of sneak peeks, leading up to the release of the August My Monthly Hero kit tomorrow, Monday August 1st, at 1pm eastern/10am pacific! Yana is starting us off today with another gorgeous card.

Hero Arts August My Monthly Hero kit will have you daydreaming in no time! Delicately beautiful fairies, stars and star dust, whimsical clouds, timeless quotes - you name it!

You can never go wrong with simple white heat embossing and a bit of ink blending using your favorite colors of ink. To create this card featuring images from both main August My Monthly Hero Kit and an add-on stamp set I heat embossed one of the fairies and a beautiful Shakespeare quote in hero_product_link sku="PW110" text="white embossing powder"] onto a panel of hero_product_link sku="PS610" text="white cardstock"].

I love combining pink and yellow on my cards, so I first blended a bit of hero_product_link sku="AF207" text="Butter Bar"] and later added a hint of hero_product_link sku="AF208" text="Bubble Gum"] using emboss resist technique. Where these colors overlapped I ended up having beautiful orange color.

My heat embossed panel was foam mounted onto an A2 card base, I also adhered several large and small clear clear droplets to spice things up.
