August My Monthly Hero Countdown Idea #4 + Giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

We are back with another look at the August My Monthly Hero release! The kit will be available on Monday, August 1st at 1pm eastern/10am pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and the optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more inspiration! Now let’s join Mariana, who is sharing another look at the beautiful optional add-on border die, available on Monday!

Pretty fairies, soft colors and sparkles are just a few of the ingredients that are being featured in the August My Monthly Hero kit. I just love the magic and fantasy that fairies can bring into your projects. So today I am sharing a card that I created with one of the add-on products of  this month's kit which is a pretty Floral Border with Frame as well as some other products from the main kit.

I began by creating a card base using the soft printed purple card stock. Next, I used the Floral border to create a window from a woodgrain panel and a purple panel and then, I layered them over the card base to create  a shadow effect.  The two fairies were stamped with  hero_product_link sku="AF345" text="Intense Black Ink"] over  hero_product_link sku="PS610" text="Snow Layering Paper"] and colored with watercolors with not a lot of detail, but I put Stickles details on wings and clothes.

After that, I die cut the fairies with their matching frames. I stamped a sentiment  over the card and adhered the fairies with foam tape. To finish off my card, I adhered some clear droplets as embellishments.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, August 1, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks for joining me!
