August My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway!

Hello! We are back with our second Countdown to Creativity post before launching our August My Monthly Hero Kit and add-ons on Monday, August 7th, at 1pm eastern/10am pacific. We’ll be giving away one kit on Monday morning, before the kit launches, so be sure to comment on every countdown post! Now join Jayne as she shares a card made with some of this amazing kit’s exclusive stamps and dies.

If you love celestial and fantasy themed images, you will adore this new kit. This month’s kit includes a large stamp set that is out-of-this-world, plus matching dies! The kit is also chock full of other wonderful items that make this kit an incredible value!

To make my card I started by creating a navy card base and trimming another panel of navy cardstock slightly smaller than the card front. Using the beautiful metallic paint that’s included in this month’s kit (yes!), I put the trimmed panel into an empty box, and generously sprayed the panel with paint. To ensure that the paint dried completely, I let the panel dry overnight.

I embossed a pair of flying girls, a star, a script sentiment, and a stardust trail on navy cardstock. I also embossed an additional gold star and stamped a single navy star on white cardstock. I fussy cut around the sentiment with scissors and then used the coordinating dies to cut around all of the images. Next, I used the Circle Infinity Dies to cut a large, vellum circle that I positioned along the upper left side of the misted panel. I clustered the images and sentiment on and around the vellum circle, using foam tape behind several images to secure the vellum to the card.

I used another of the kit’s dies to cut a larger navy star that I added to the card front. For some additional sparkle, I finished the card with a trio of clear gems.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, August 7th, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check back tomorrow for additional countdown posts with more inspiration and more sneak peeks!
